At Grace Church Lake Highlands, community groups exist to help cultivate relationship with God and one another as we live on mission to help our friends and neighbors find and follow Jesus.
The way we cultivate these relationships is through responding to and receiving God’s grace as we regularly gather in homes, share our lives, break bread, open the scriptures, and pray in community.
Groups will meet in homes and will be organized around location instead of life stage or age. By living in proximity to one another, we hope to build deeply rooted relationships as we intentionally reach out to our neighbors and live out our faith.
Groups will meet weekly with a three & one structure. Three of the monthly gatherings will be a time for the groups to enjoy fellowship, discuss/apply the scripture from the Sunday sermon, and pray with/for one another. The fourth gathering will be organized around a community meal. Instead of a typical group discussion, the community meal is a way for our groups to befriend our neighbors and coworkers, as we intentionally welcome them to our table.
